It Can Happen to Anyone (ITCHA)

It Can Happen to Anyone (ITCHA) is a prevention-based workshop designed for parent groups, service providers, and community audiences. It includes a comprehensive overview of youth sexual exploitation, case studies and trends of youth exploitation, online exploitation, legal issues surrounding sexual exploitation, and family support. Attendees will learn learn how to prevent and recognize the signs of sexual exploitation and support exploited youth.

Neeru Muker
About:

Neeru holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology along with a minor in Counseling. In 2016, she discovered her passion for supporting women fleeing domestic violence and sexual assault. Since then, she has collaborated with passionate and like-minded individuals to educate the community and provide a safe space for those impacted by sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

About Children of the Street
Since 1995, Children of the Street has worked to prevent the sexual exploitation and human trafficking of children and youth in British Columbia. They achieve this goal through education strategies, public awareness initiatives, and family support. Every year, Child of the Street reaches more than 25,000 kids through over 500 educational workshops provided across British Columbia.
