Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is a body and brain condition caused by prenatal exposure to alcohol. About 4% of Canadians are living with FASD, according to Canada FASD Research Network, which means approximately 1.5 million people in Canada and 45,300 in Saskatchewan. People living with FASD may have a wide range of invisible conditions, as well as strengths and challenges that can impact their daily life. With the right support and FASD informed practices, people with FASD can be successful and lead a healthy life.
