The Invisibility of Brain Development: Implications for How We Interact with and Support Young Children
This session will explore important implications of early brain development for how we interact with and support young children. Specifically, neural development and neural pruning: what are they, why are they important, and how to support this area of development for children 0 to 2 years of age using everyday items and activities. This session will also cover development of the five senses (hearing, seeing, smell, taste, touch) during pregnancy and how they relate to early brain development.
