Mental Health
How you think, feel, and react to things can make a big difference in your life. Being mentally healthy can help you feel good about yourself, have positive relationships, and make good life choices.
No one knows exactly what causes mental health problems. There are a lot of factors that impact a person’s mental health, including stress and trauma.
Stress is the physical and emotional responses to situations that are new, unexpected, or a threat to a person’s well-being. Stress can become toxic if it is frequent, serious, or prolonged.
Trauma is experience of events that harm, or threaten to harm, them or others physically or emotionally.
If you or someone you know is worried about their mental health, it is important to get help and support. You can talk to a family member, friend, spiritual leader, doctor, mental health agency, or health line.
