Christine Huel

Christine Huel (she/her) is a family nurse practitioner and assistant professor in the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Nursing. She completed her PhD at the University of Victoria in 2024. Christine has been a registered nurse since 2002, predominantly working in pediatric and maternal child health nursing in addition to primary care. Over the past 20 years, Christine and her family have lived abroad working for embassies and humanitarian organizations in post-conflict and post-disaster contexts. In addition to her role in the College of Nursing, she continues to practice as a family nurse practitioner.

Christine enjoys exploring research topics related to health care, mostly through qualitative methodologies and knowledge synthesis projects. Her research interests include routine childhood vaccines, vaccine hesitancy, digital nomadism, integrative health in primary care practice, and intensive parenting.
