Dr. Tim Naimi

Dr. Tim Naimi is currently Director of the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research (CISUR), a professor at the University of Victoria’s School of Public Health and Social Policy, and Co-Principal Investigator on the CAPE project. He is a physician and alcohol epidemiologist who trained at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and co-founded the Alcohol Team. Tim’s research interests include substance-use epidemiology (particularly binge drinking, youth drinking, and health effects of low-dose ethanol) and the evaluation of alcohol policies for preventing and reducing alcohol harms.
