How to Make Your Practice More Sex Positive

February 27, 2025 @ 1:30 pm. - 3:00 pm.

This webinar aims to improve understanding of sex positivity through a queer, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive lens. It explores how cultural norms shape views on sexuality and examines the biases and judgments that stem from a sex-negative culture. Topics covered include the basics of sex positivity, personal values and biases, and the connection between sexual health and mental health. By adopting a sex-positive perspective, care providers can foster open, non-judgmental conversations about sexual health, helping to reduce the fear and shame often associated with sexual health topics.

Presenter

Celeste Seiferling
About:

Celeste is a queer therapist, advocate, educator and activist living in treaty 4 territory. She has spent the last decade learning and unlearning about sex, sexuality, and gender in both her personal and professional lives. As a cis-woman and settler to this land, she is grateful to have learned a great deal from trans, non-binary, and 2Spirit folks in her communities. She is constantly working to decolonize and de-professionalize her practice. She is a mom – both step and bio – and has too many animals in her home to count. You are most likely to find her adventuring in nature or dancing in heels. She hopes to help you find healing, wholeness, and reclamation wherever you find yourself.
