Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program

“There are no perfect parents or perfect children or perfect people. We can only do our best, and we all need help once in a while”.

Developed by Health Canada, Nobody’s Perfect meets the needs of young, single, low-income, socially or geographically isolated parents, or parents with limited formal education.

Nobody’s Perfect is a support and education program for parents of children from birth to age five. Developed by Health Canada in the 1980s, Nobody’s Perfect is a free program that supports parents to enhance their knowledge, skills, self-confidence, and support systems. The program has proven to be successful across Canada and internationally. In Saskatchewan, the Nobody’s Perfect Program is coordinated through the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute and is offered in many communities across the province.

What can you expect from the program?

Facilitation by a trained Nobody’s Perfect Facilitator
A place to share parenting concerns in a safe and supportive environment
Information and resources regarding early child development, safety, health, and behaviour
Interactive, interesting, and fun sessions
A focus on what you want to learn more about or discuss
Free registration, with snacks and childcare provided
Discover positive parenting strategies and skills
Learn more about other resources available in your community and increase personal support systems

Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program Online & Facilitator Training

Dates:

May 15, 2024 (12:30 p.m.– 4:30 p.m.)
May 16 - 17 (9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day)
May 23-24, 2024 (9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day)
*Note: Times are in CST (Saskatchewan)

Online Training:
Participants must have access to computer with microphone and camera and the internet. Participants must offer a training session before they will receive their facilitator certification.

Registration:
$550 for 1^st agency registrant; $350 for additional agency registrants. Registration fees made payable to the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute.

Dates:

June 10th, 11th, 12th, & 13th, 2024 (9am - 4:30pm)

Location: Saskatoon, SK
The Home Inn & Suites (253 Willis Crescent)

Please note: This training will be offered by Nobody’s Perfect trainer, Kelleen Blouin (Granny Willow), and will have a particular focus on using the Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program to support Indigenous communities.

NOBODY’S PERFECT is a parenting education and support program for parents of children from birth to age five. The program can be offered in a group setting or one to one. It usually involves 6 to 8 sessions and is free of charge to parents.
