Growing Up with AI: Understanding AI’s Impact on Early Childhood

January 13, 2027 @ 1:00 pm. - 2:30 pm.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is already part of the environments where young children learn, play, and form their first relationships. Over the last three years, Common Sense Media has faced this emerging technology head-on, conducting research, publishing product evaluations, and supporting families in the age of AI. This session is grounded in current research on how children and teens are actually using AI and outlines the risks that matter most for developing minds. Participants will leave with practical guidance and resources for parents, caregivers, and the organizations that support them.
