Teaching Sex-Ed: Anti-Racist Sex-Ed

This webinar is directed toward teachers and health educators to increase their knowledge, skills, and capacity to deliver age-appropriate comprehensive sexual health education in their classrooms. This presentation will specifically address the topic of anti-racism in sex education.

This webinar will address the following questions:
  • What is anti-racism?
  • What does anti-racism look like in a sexual health education context?
  • How can anti-racism help ensure that sexual health education is accessible and inclusive to all students?

Natalya Mason
About:

Natalya Mason (PgCSH, BA, BSW, RSW, MA) is a sexual health educator on Treaty Six Territory in Saskatoon. She recently completed a Master of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studie where her graduate work focused on social and emotional barriers to condom use for adolescent girls. She works as the Education Coordinator at Saskatoon Sexual Health. Natalya is a big believer in community, and as such is proud to be a member of the Girl Guides of Canada and the Board of Directors with OUTSaskatoon.

Delilah Kamuhanda
About:

Delilah Kamuhanda is the new Sexual Health Coordinator with Saskatoon Sexual Health and OUT Saskatoon. She is an Ugandan American, born and raised in the Washington DC area. Her work centres sex positivity and inclusivity. Delilah hopes to make sexual health accessible and intersectional.
